The Zimbabwe Luxury Safari: Victoria Falls and Safari package was planned for a Chicago couple seeking a romantic getaway with plenty of adventure. Combining the beautiful Lake Kariba, the famous Victoria Falls, Mana Pools and Zimbabwe’s largest game reserve, this safari package is perfect for the adventurous couple.
The couple was has some romantic champagne and chocolates upon arrival at the Palm River Hotel. On their second day, they took a trip to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. They took an unforgettable helicopter flight over the Falls before returning to the camp at sunset.
They continued their Zimbabwe Luxury Safariby traveling via air to Hwange National Park. Here, they stayed three nights at the iconic Somalisa in a luxury tent. One moment they were sipping on your gin and tonic listening to the distant baritone roar of a lion coalition on the hunt and the next, they found themselves gazing over at a congregation of elephants mere meters away, peacefully sharing a sundowner with them.
After Hwange, the continued to the beautiful Lake Kariba at Bumi Hills. The alluring Lake Kariba lodge offers the lake as a playground. They spent their days cruising on the water, doing some walking safaris and discovering the ancient secrets within the fossilised dinosaur footprints unique to this area. They went on day and night game drives searching for lions in particular.
So the last stop on their Zimbabwe Luxury Safari, they flew off to Mana Pools and Nyamatsui Camp. Mana Pools National Park, a Unesco World Heritage Site, protects a pristine wilderness area along the lower Zambezi River. Roamed by many African animals, it is one of the best places in Africa for walking safaris and canoe safaris, they chose to participate in both.,
On their final day, they enjoyed a morning walk in Mana Pools before they were transferred to the airport for their trip home.

Day 1
Welcome to Zimbabwe! Upon your arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you’ll be met by your vehicle and transferred to your accommodations at Palm River Hotel. Your luxury room awaits with a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolates. After you’ve settled in, head out on a late afternoon walk through the National Park, stopping off at a scenic spot to watch the sunset with sundowners. Enjoy the night drive back to the lodge followed by a superb 3-course meal out under the stars.

Day 2
Your adventure continues! This morning brings you on a guided tour of Zimbabwe’s foremost attraction: Victoria Falls. The noise of Victoria Falls can be heard from a distance of 40 kilometers, while the spray and mist from the falling water rises to a height of over 400 meters. No wonder the local tribes used to call the waterfall Mosi-o-Tunya, or “the smoke that thunders.” Following the Victoria Falls excursion, enjoy some curio shopping at the craft village and lunch at Gorges Lodge. After lunch, you have the option of a helicopter flight over the Falls before returning to hotel.

Day 3
Today you are transferred to the airport for a quick flight to Hwange National Park. It is the largest and most popular park in Zimbabwe. Hwange is most famous for its elephants, which are present in impressive numbers throughout the year. After lunch, settle into your room before taking off on an evening game drive to look for the famour Painted Dogs.

Spend these days on game drives and other activities with the camp. One day be sure to do a walking safari, visit the Painted Dog Conservation Center and look for the local birds

Day 6
This morning starts bright and early with a guided safari walk, followed by a scenic road transfer. Here you’ll make your connecting flight over Lake Kariba. Once you’ve settled in, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park and end up at a overview point for sundowners. Your afternoon drive turns into a night drive back to your accommodations at Bumi Hills, stopping off at a nearby waterhole where an authentic outdoor bush dinner for two is served under the African night sky.

Days 7 -8
Your adventure continues for the next two days with activities at Lake Kariba. Take a guided walking safari, lay out for the incredible stargazing, catch-and-release fishing, day and night game drives searching for animals, as well as engaging cultural visits to our nearby local community.

Day 9
After breakfast, head off to your last stop on your Zimbabwe Luxury Safari, the amazing Mana Pools. This is one wildest and most remote parts of Africa, on the banks of the Zambezi, one of the world’s oldest rivers. After your rest and afternoon tea, head off for a game drive and sundowners.

These days are yours to explore the wonder of Mana Pools. You can spend your days walking in the footsteps of ancient explorers and tracks of elephants that criss-cross the floodplain. You will watch the drama of nature play out before your eyes on game drives and thrilling canoeing safaris. And fishing on the Zambezi River (catch and release only) is a highlight here.

Day 12
This morning marks the last day of your adventure. Enjoy a guided walk into the Mana Pools before packing up and catching your flight over to Harare. Here, you’ll meet your departing flight and begin your journey home.
