Wild Zambia Safari: South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Victoria Falls

Uncover adventure in wild Zambia remote wilderness. Experience thrilling wildlife safaris in the two of the most famous parks, Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa National Park., then finish your trip at Victoria Falls.

We planned this Wild Zambia Safari: South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Victoria Falls for a couple from Denver. They had been to Africa several times, but never to Zambia, they were adventurous and wanted to do some walking and tented camp safaris. We sent them to 2 incredible wildlife safari parks in Zambia, followed by a stop at Victoria Falls.

The couple arrived into Lusaka and had an overnight there before starting off on their safari adventure.

The first safari stop on their Wild Zambia Safari: South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Victoria Falls was in the South Luangwa National Park, one of Zambia’s top safari destinations. Situated deep in the National Park on the Luwi River, the Luwi Camp is wonderfully remote, with no other camps around for miles. Tranquility envelops this camp, creating a wilderness haven that allows guests to reconnect with nature in a meaningful way. Nestled in a grove of ancient mahogany trees, the safari tents allowed the couple to fully immerse in the bush experience. Known as the birthplace of walking safaris, the park combined up-close encounters with iconic animals like lions, elephants, and leopards, with breathtaking views of the Luangwa River and its lush surroundings. The couple spent a day on a walking safari.

The next stop on their Wild Zambia Safari: South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Victoria Falls was the Lower Zambezi National Park. This park is a magnet for wildlife like lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, zebras, wild dogs, and so much more. They spent 3 nights at the gorgeous Chongwe Camp, which offers the perfect blend of nature and luxury. They enjoyed the best views in the Lower Zambezi, looking across the meeting point of two rivers. One of the highlights of their stay here was a water safari on the mighty Zambezi River!

For their last stop, the couple stopped at the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, the home of Victoria Falls. Thorntree River Lodge is situated along the picturesque banks of Zambia’s Zambezi River. This setting seamlessly merges the tranquil ambiance of the Zambezi with the awe-inspiring majesty of Victoria Falls, which made it a perfect last stop for the couple. They spent a day in the national park and feeling the spray of the mighty falls.

At last, it was time for our clients to return home; they almost didn’t want to leave! They agreed this was the perfect adventure.
