This Trip to Africa: Cape Town and Luxury Safari Anniversary package was designed for a honeymoon couple from Toronto. We sent them on a fabulous getaway to Cape Town and a safari adventure on a private game reserve. For this once-in-a-lifetime trip, they decided to pamper themselves by staying in some of our favorite luxury properties, where 5-star service and unexpected special touches exceeded their expectations.
Their Trip to Africa: Cape Town and Luxury Safari Anniversary package began in sunny, coastal Cape Town. Here, they stayed at Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa, a luxury boutique hotel located on the slopes of the famous Twelve Apostles mountain range. They enjoyed magnificent views over the ocean during their romantic gourmet dinner at the hotel’s renowned Azure Restaurant.
The next day was spent with a private guide on a full-day tour of Cape Point and the Peninsula, part of Cape Town’s stunning surroundings. They took in the beautiful beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, then ventured to Hout Bay and took an excursion to Seal Island to see the large number of Cape seals lounging on the tiny island. Their tour continued with a scenic coastal drive to False Bay and a visit to the gorgeous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Then they continued on to the winelands in their rental car, exploring the beautiful landscapes, enjoying a bit of wine before stopping at Babylonstoren for 3 nights to savour the flavours of the area, relax at the spa and taste local wines.
After two days of leisure in the winelands, their Trip to Africa: Cape Town and Luxury Safari Anniversary Package continued with an unforgettable luxury safari adventure. They journeyed to Mateya Safari Lodge, located on a private game reserve. They experienced a thrilling Big 5 African safari amid the lush green plains of the South African bush. In between safari activities, they were able to unwind in their luxurious suite, dine on delicious gourmet meals in the open air, and enjoy beautiful views from the seclusion of their romantic plunge pool.
