Maldives Getaway: Gili Lankanfushi

This trip to the Maldives was planned for a honeymoon couple that was looking for something completely different.  So we put together this Robinson Crusoe experience at Gili Lankanfushi in the Maldives.  After their speedboat transfer, they arrived on the dock and had to remove their shoes as the resort is strictly barefoot luxury.  And then their Mr. Friday helped them to them to their Villa Suite.  Each guest is assigned a Mr. Friday as their 24/7 contact while at the resort.  He will help with anything that guests need, like snorkeling equipment, dinner reservations, buggy rides and much more.  In their Villa Suite, they relaxed and enjoyed the amazing views from their overwater villa.  All living areas are outside at Gili Lankanfushi, so it is truly a Robinson Crusoe experience. The couple snorkeled directly off of their deck and enjoyed One Palm Island.  The overwater spa offers amazing views and a variety of spa treatments all while viewing the beautiful blue lagoon.  Gili Lankanfushi sponsors two buffet dinners per week, each with a different theme.  Not your ordinary buffet, these special experiences include several different stations where your food is made to order, so the couple enjoyed the Asian Street Market buffet while they were there.  They truly felt that they had dropped out and relaxed during their stay.  Their unique Maldives honeymoon was so unique, they didn’t want to leave.
