We designed this Botswana Luxury Anniversary Package for a couple from Texas. Her dream was safari in the Okavango Delta, and his was to see Meerkats. So, we put this Botswana trip together for a romantic anniversary adventure.
They started their Botswana Luxury Anniversary Package in Botswana in their first stop at a romantic villa in the wilderness of Botswana. The Mashatu Euphorbia Villa offers an intimate and eco-conscious retreat, blending luxury with stunning views of the rugged Mashatu landscape. The couple loved the experience of elegant private villas with plunge pools, gourmet dining, and thrilling wildlife safaris in one of Botswana’s most remote and beautiful wilderness areas.
Next on their Botswana Luxury Anniversary Package, the continued to Okavango Delta at Xigera in the Moremi Game Reserve. For three nights at the camp, the couple enjoyed thrilling game drives and mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions, where they encountered diverse wildlife like elephants, lions, and hippos. And in the Moremi Game Reserve they had frequent sightings of leopards, giraffes, and a variety of bird species like the African fish eagle.
They finished their Botswana Luxury Anniversary Package in the Makgadigadi Plains; they moved to Jack’s Camp. The camp perfectly blends luxury and adventure, where the vast salt pans and desert landscapes create a surreal backdrop. Guests enjoy opulent safari tents, rich cultural encounters with the San people, and the thrill of wildlife sightings, including meerkats and migrating zebras. And the Meerkat experience was certainly a high light for the couple.
After ten days, their anniversary trip came to an end. They returned home with fond memories of the adventure of a lifetime!

Suggested Itinerary
Day 1
Today is the start of your anniversary adventure. You will arrive into the Johannesburg airport and after a road transfer, you will fly to the Lanseria Airport. And land at your first remote stop of your adventure, Mashatu Euphorbia. Your villa, a private haven, resonates with exclusivity. Your arrival is met with “the nest” deck that overlooks the reserve and tranquil ravine below, offering a spectacular view over Mashatu Game Reserve. Inside, an oasis of space awaits, adorned with indoor and outdoor showers, private plunge pools with incredible views of the surrounding wilderness.

Days 2 – 3
Spend these two days on safari in the area. This is unique experience, combining striking landscapes of rocky outcrops and riverine forests with abundant wildlife. This lesser-known safari destination is home to large elephant herds, lions, and leopards, offering a tranquil and off-the-beaten-path adventure. Other activities include: cycle safaris, walking safaris, horse safaris, photographic hides & tuition, community visits and night drives.

Day 4
Leave the Tuli Block region and continue on to the Okavango Delta and the Moremi Game Reserve to the stunning Xigera. Days 5-6
You will spend these days taking in all of the area’s activities. You can do exciting game drives to spot the region’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, and leopards. The area also offers guided walking safaris, providing an intimate way to explore the flora and fauna up close. Additionally, traditional mokoro excursions allow for a tranquil journey through the waterways, offering unique perspectives on aquatic animals and birdlife.

Day 7
Time to relax; today, you start your journey to your last stop in Botswana. The Makgadikgadi Pans in Botswana are one of the largest salt flats in the world, offering an otherworldly landscape that stretches endlessly under vast African skies. During the rainy season, the pans transform into a vibrant oasis, attracting thousands of migratory birds and wildlife, including one of Africa’s largest zebra migrations. And the last three nights will be spent at the very special Jack’s Camp.

Days 8-9
These two days, you enjoy opulent safari tents, rich cultural encounters with the San people, and the thrill of wildlife sightings, including migrating zebras. You can expect to see a variety of unique wildlife, including brown hyenas, aardvarks, and bat-eared foxes. During the rainy season, the area also attracts large herds of migratory zebras and wildebeest, alongside sightings of giraffes, springboks, and a diverse range of bird species. A highlight here will be the meerkat experience. You get up close with a habituated colony, observing these curious creatures as they forage and interact in their natural environment. This intimate encounter offers a rare opportunity to sit among the meerkats as they go about their day, sometimes even using guests as lookout posts!

Day 10
Today marks the end of your romantic Botswana luxury anniversary trip. Enjoy a transfer to the airport, where you’ll begin your journey home.
