My Story
I’ve specialized in crafting travel experiences for 20 years, including while living and working in Scotland and New Zealand. My love of travel planning has taken clients on remarkable journeys spanning the globe, from the icy wilderness of Antarctica to the wild bush of Zambia and virtually everywhere in between. While I’ve had the great privilege of traveling to many places around the world, Africa and the South Pacific both hold special places in my heart. They are incredible regions, and continue to draw me back, again and again. Nothing makes me happier than helping travelers experience these regions for themselves!

My Style of Travel
I like a good mix in my travels; some nature, some wildlife, some hiking, some adventure, and some cultural/personal connection experiences. I don’t need uber luxurious accommodations, but it is a definite treat now and again!

When I’m Not Traveling, I…
always make time for a great hike, a sporting event, or simply enjoying the company of old and new friends. And of course, playing with our adorable (not so little) puppy, Loch.

Favorite Destinations
It’s one of the most difficult things to do, picking a favorite, but for now I’d have to say Uganda. It was my most recent trip to Africa and a very powerful experience. Spending time with the chimpanzees and gorillas is simply magical! The people are friendly and welcoming, the scenery is beautiful, and there’s so much to see and do, besides the apes. It isn’t often a first trip to Africa, but it could be, and either way, I highly recommend a visit!

Favorite Experiences
I have so many , but two involve seeing the world from above. First, a microlight flight over Victoria Falls. It’s incredible to see the falls from head on, but spectacular to see it so close from above. The two vantage points were special. It was also a thrilling experience, with my little seatbelt across my waist and unlike a helicopter, fully open to the sights. We also saw a rhino in the nearby park. Second, a hot air balloon flight over the Great Migration in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. Again, seeing the sights and wildlife from two perspectives is truly special. The peace of the hot air balloon floating above the Serengeti with only the sound of the inflating from time to time. It was also nice that there was a second balloon with us that morning, so that we could get pictures of not only the wildlife but another balloon.

I don’t leave home without…
either everything in my carry-on or at least two changes of clothes in it! I spent six days in the bush of Botswana without my luggage and now I always pack a couple spares!
